Susan Corbett


Susan trains over 20 National Hunt and Flat horses at Girsonfield. Before becoming a trainer, Susan managed the stud farm and has 25 years of experience working with thoroughbred horses.

Frank Corbett


Farm Manager


Frank oversees the management and the feeding of the youngsters of Girsonfield Farm. Amongst his many responsibilities, Frank provides quality hay and haylage for the Stud and Yard.

James Corbett


 Assistant Trainer


Jamie started his career at the British Racing School has ridden 27 winners and had 157 places as the yards National Hunt Jockey. He has recently retired to concentrate on training the horses where he supervises the horses' daily work plans and the general running of the yard.

  Carolyn is Girsonfield's primary veterinary surgeon.

Emma Tully

As well as being the recipient of many.many best turned out prizes, Emma is a brilliant work rider and has achieved her  NVQ level 2 & 3 since joining the yard.

Hannah Eve Bunton

Work Rider

Hannah joins us from Tracy Waggots yard where she has worked since leaving Racing School


Emma Roberts

Work Rider

Emma has worked for trainers including Lucinda Russell and Lucy Normile. She has come back to working in racing after a spell as head girl on a hunting yard. She joins our experienced team of work riders and has now been with us for over a year.

Lewis Duffy

Yard Man / Stud Hand

Lewis has had experience with both Shadwell and Juddmonte Studs. He is from Otterburn and after working at studs and racing yards has returned to Girsonfield. Among Lewis strengths are his knowedge of pedigrees and his love of horses. Lewis will be an important part of our new Stud developement.

Mikaela Wilkings

 Work Rider

Mikaela came here to ask for advice on an equine career and 12 months later she was back as our NVQ2 Student through the British Racing School. She has recently achieved her NVQ2 and will shortly be starting her NVQ3. She is now employed as a Work rider. Mikaela has been nominated for the David Nicholson Newcomer Award and has made it through to the top 10 - great achievement!
